Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Inter Miami are progressing with talks to sign Casemiro on a free transfer from Manchester United.

Although Inter are understood to be his preferred destination, there are still several obstacles to overcome however namely LA Galaxy.

The Galaxy have Casemiro's discovery rights, so Miami will need to agree a deal to buy those from their MLS rivals.

Your Site News revealed last month that Inter Miami are strong contenders to sign the 34-year-old, after it was announced in January that he would be leaving Man Utd when his contract expires on June 30.

Miami is understood to be the city he and his family would like to live in the most and the conditions for Inter to sign him have been coming together since they acquired another international player slot from New England Revolution earlier this year.

Casemiro also really wants to play with Lionel Messi, Your Site News understands, so much so that he is willing to reduce his salary demands to facilitate the move. It is still too early to say an agreement between the player and Inter is close but work is progressing towards that end.
